Tharuni today distributed 35 sewing machines to the young women who are in need to sustain themselves.
In Warangal district on the occasion of 90th birthday of Late Sri Achanta Sadguru Prasad, Retd. District and Sessions Judge and senior Advisory Board Member of Tharuni, the sewing machines were distributed.He is the father of Dr. Mamatha Achanta, Founder Member of Tharuni and Rajendra Achanta ( U.S.). Sri Prasad was ardent advocate of women upliftment and progress, having worked as Secretary to Human Rights Commission in our State with 45 years of Judicial service in different capacities.
Tharuni team and staff could identify needy women who are learning stitching in our centers and elsewhere, and who are unable to bear the two ends meet. The machines would change their life situations with financial stability in their families.
Tharuni Founder Member Dr. Mamatha reiterated that it could reach total 35 machines in number with the liberal contribution of 'Incredibles Group' of Hyderabad (A Group of Women created it to do service) and Tharuni fund. Swanthana Rehab was given 4 Machines in Hyderabad.
As Dr Mamatha was out of Station the Tharuni team successfully arranged Zoom Meeting online in the centers in both Azim Premji Project and Hexagon Project who are our constant supporters.
Tharuni congratulates all the Team Members and Volunteers and the stake holders on this occasion.I thank all the Participants in the meeting who made it a memorable event of my dear Husband who died on 29th November 23.
