Republic Day Celebrations by Tharuni on 26-01-2015

Tharuni Gurukul Celebrated the 66th Republic Day at the Branch Library, Champapet by 10 A.M on 26th January 2015.Local Community Leader Karunakar Reddy hoisted the National Flag.Librarian Krishna Reddy, Library Staff Sumitra, Vijaya Laxmi, Readers, Elders from  the community, Tharuni Director Dr. Hemalatha,Gurukul  Children, School Children participated in the celebration.
Young Readers spoke about the importance of the Indian Republic and also the basic necessities required in the Library,Prof.Vithal Reddy spoke about the Role of Youth,for the development of the Country, by practicing Yoga in daily life. Dr. Hemalatha  stated about the part played by youth in the Freedom Movement and their importance to lead the Country at present, as  the asset of the Nation.
Sri Krishna Reddy promised to look into the amenities required in the Library.

'Save the Girl Child' Sensitization Program & Rally by Tharuni at Rudragudem village, Warangal District

Tharuni held the Sensitization Meeting  on P.C.P N D T Act to' Save the Girl child'  for fifty  NSS Volunteers, and 300 villagers of Rudragudem Village of Nallabelli Mandal in Warangal District on 12th and 13th January 2015. The NSS camp was held in the village for the Siddhartha Degree and P.G. college Students.
They were led  by the NSS Coordinators Ashok, Sunil and Ramesh, the Faculty  in the College. ICPS Project Officer Omkar, LPO Sathish and Tharuni Coordinator Ailesh Yadav  have enlightened the Students and the Villagers on the Act and the Rules while explaining the sex ratio and Child Rights.
A Video on Early Marriages was displayed.Pamphlets and brochures were circulated. On 13th January A Rally was conducted to sensitize the people in the village.
