Republic Day Celebrations

Tharuni celebrated 62nd Republic Day at the Office premises at warangal. All the four Coordinators from the four Mandals of Devuruppula, Station Ghanpur,Geesukonda,and Dharmasagar,along with other Team Members,Some of the girls from Balika Sanghas, Men,women and children of Neelam Enclave Apartments attended the Flag Hoisting function.Dr. Mamatha Raghuveer, Director Tharuni hoisted the flag. Children sang patriotic songs. Sweets were distributed.
Tharuni Gurukul celebrated the Republic Day at Hyderabad in the premises of Branch Library, Nagarjunacolony along with the Library Staff, School children and the public.
Dr Mamatha enlightened the cluster coordinators and the Tharuni team on the Reproductive Health and HIV AIDS on 26th January at the Office for two hours, in order to extend the information to the Balika Sanghas in their villages by them.

Dr. Mamatha Raghuveer, Director, Tharuni is appointed as Chair Person for the child Welfare committee in the District of Warangal.
The four Members of the committee are; 1.K. M. Margaret.
2.Dr. J. Sudhakar Reddy.
3.P. Revathi Devi.
4.P.N.S.S. Lakshmi Kantham.
Tharuni Team of Members are very happy for the recognition given to Dr. Mamatha by the Government and assure to do more services to the children in need, under the able guidance of their Executive Director.

Tharuni Balika Sanghas leaders Meet24-01-11

Tharuni Balika Sanghas (Girls Groups) Leaders Meet was arranged on 24th January 2011 at warangal.150 girls from one hundred fifty Sanghas participated to have inputs on leadership skills and life skills.Swamy Prabhu Chaitanya, Organizing Secretary of Sri Ramakrishna Mission, Warangal was the Chief Guest. He enlightened the participants on Indian Value System, Sanathana Dharma applicable to modern way of living, to be followed by all of us. Tharuni Advisory Board Members Raghuveer I.F.S. advised the girls on Mudra Yoga to achieve the goals of life and on importance of discipline to become good leaders. Surekha, Director EPITOME, Hyderabad, trained the girls how to achieve their targets as successful leaders, by participatory method by playing with balloons. Rajasekhar District Manager, UNICEF, explained the role and importance of Balika Sanghas in combating child marriages and child labour and other social evils.He advised them to not to be influenced by media channels. He assured that UNICEF provides Books and play material to the groups. Dr. Mamatha, Director Tharuni highlighted the success the girls groups can achieve by solving their problems with net working , unitedly.The participants were enriched with knowledge with the reading material given by Tharuni.
