The small Girls with their little hands could make six short films relating to different problems, working for 70 days under the able guidance of Surekha and Dr. Mamatha. The result they received is, long lasting and a great land mark in their profile.
Tharuni girls got two awards out of their five films from among the 105 films, displayed at the CESS Auditorium brought by all NGOs from all over the State.The UNICEF in collaboration with the Department of Mass Communications of Central University of Hyderabad conducted the Short Films display under ' My Frames 2010' on 16th and 17th November 2010 at Center for Economics and Social Sciences at Ameerpet, Hyderabad. Eleven films were selected by the Jury as best films. 'Mulla Bandham' under the Child Rights category and ' Atavidupu' under culture and tradition were selected as best films made by the Tharuni students. The other four films are 'Letha Manasulu', 'Akasamlosagam', 'Athiva chethilo Arogyam', and 'Pelli Pramanalu'. All the films can be seen in 'U' Tube.The whole Tharuni team appreciates the efforts of the group led by Anusha, Soujanya, Radhika and others and congratulate them.
